A school is cancelling classes for a "sun day"? How does the sun stop one's ability to learn?

But there's a difference between me and you, I don't need eduction to do good in life, Just take out some money from my parents account and I'm set! You on the other hand, need an eduction, since your poor little :faic: has no money and needs to earn it. I wis our school board would allow such days, but I highly doubt that it will ever occur. That is, unless temperatures exceed over 40'C and have a humidex factor along with the temperature, which could very easily occur.

There are no "sun days" in the Texas Panhandle because weather here is as unpredictable as a pregnant woman's emotions. The weatherman is the highest-paid guesser in the area. It can be hotter than hell or colder than the freezer. Here, the four seasons have no set time of year.

I missed more than two weeks of school due to snow.
And an extra one because the heater in my school was broken and it was FREEZING.
