Of course, you have at least heard of a driving simulator. Next school year, though, my school district will be the first school district in the United States to test a new software program, One Simple Decision. This new software will enable driving students to see first-hand what it's like to drive under the influence or while distracted by texting, calling, etc. Students will also be able to see what it feels like to get busted, get hurt or hurt someone in an avoidable crash, get handcuffed and taken to jail, and see just how bullet-proof they really are. If it works here, then of course it will spread. It will likely just go to other schools in the State of Texas before it goes around America. It sounds awesome, and though my mom will teach me driving, they'll welcome students to test and sharpen their driving, so it sounds like something I could at least try.

That sounds really scary. Of course, that will NEVER be me: I'm not an alcoholic, my phone doesn't control my life, and I never do against the law.
But, seriously? That sounds like a bad idea to me, the getting hurt part.

I don't know what to say about this, other than you must be at a rich school.
My district has two high schools and both are testing this new program in the 2010-11 year. Even if we were super-rich, a lot of the money goes to the football team and their 24-karat gold equipment.
