Re: Get ready for the remakes
They're remaking "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids"? I watched that once, it was epic.
Also many other interesting ones on there, such as "Creature from the Black Lagoon", which I am eager to see remade.

Creature From the Black Lagoon, Death Note, and Honey I Shrunk The Kids?

Yes.
I've never heard of Death Note. Still, I suppose it's interesting they're remaking it.

They're remaking the Death Note movie? Awesome, though I never actually watched it. And hopefully this Child's Play is actually scary.

Oh My God, I just noticed this.
They're remaking My Fair Lady! OMG, I loved that film. Eliza Doolittle, Henry Higgins, the 938000 year old Colonel!
Please let this be real...

Re: Get ready for the remakes
Since it'd be harder to say which one's I think may be good or which one's I'm excited for, I'll just list one I know is bound to fail miserably:
"“Resident Evil” mastermind Paul W. S. Anderson directs his wife Jovovich once again in the latest version of the classic 1844 novel by Alexandre Dumas. This latest effort, which is being filmed in 3-D, marks at least the 20th time “The Three Musketeers” has been adapted for the big screen."
I never thought I'd hear mastermind and his name in the same sentence, let alone him and The Three Musketeers in the same page.

They better not screw Death Note up.

Don't worry. They have the best people in the business working on Death Note now. There's no way they can screw this up

There's a possibility that Zac Efron will play Light.Sweet Mercy wrote:Jmh wrote:They better not screw Death Note up.

Oh, I understand. I still don't think they'll be able to mess up Death Note, though.

Re: Get ready for the remakes
Well, if they get Johny Depp as L then they may turn it into another crappy musical. So I think it's safe to say that Hollywood can always find a way to screw anything up. Just look at the American remake of Godzilla for proof of that.Sweet Mercy wrote:Independence76 wrote:

I think they will.
They've screwed up 99% of all the remakes they've made, so what's so special about this one?

Fair point.
It makes you sad, when you think about it...
