    It's a grim report, the product of very grim times. According to the report, public sector workers will be expected to pay more for smaller pensions, and the retirement age will increase to 66 by the year 2026.

    Isn't France doing that? I'm not entirely sure that'd be a good decision to make... Everyone looks forward to retiring.... Its simply not fair. At least they're giving plenty of notice though. I wonder what kind of impact that'll have on the economy.

    Yeah, they are doing that. I agree with you that it's not fair, but unfortunately, it's the state the economy is in at the moment. I think Britain should withdraw its troops from Afghanistan and then cut defence though, instead of cutting so much welfare spending.
