I fudlicking love horror movies! I recently saw The Exorcist and let me tell you it is the most funny and BORING horror movie. Ever.
I really had no interest in the backstory of the priest, I just wanted to see some demonic possessions.
It was two hours long and it only had like 2 interesting scenes throughout the movie, most of it was just talk, talk, talk.
The last 20 minutes is the exorcism scene and yes, that is interesting.

Do you like Horror films? If so, what's the scariest/favorite horror film you've seen.

    The Happening.

Scariest film I ever saw. The people randomly killing themselves... it's chilling, let me tell you.

I usually don't like horror films since they rely on the character's incompetence to build suspense. Supernatural horror films like The Exorcist are often too ridiculous to take seriously or, as you metioned, dance around the horror elements for the majoity of the film.

I think that last movie that legitimately scared me was The Strangers. Then again, I only watched the first twenty minutes or so, so it never had a chance to disappoint me.

The strangers is quite scary. I've seen the entire film, and you're right. It doesn't disappoint.

I saw that movie. It didn't scare me. After I saw Halloween (not the remake) I wasn't scared of any other horror movie ever again.

If you want real horror, you should try Lovecraft, or any other good author who uses eldritch (look it up on TV Tropes if you don't know what that means.) elements.

The original Paranormal Activity is the scariest movie I've ever seen.
