Writing Tutoring
For all of us to make TSC a better place, I think it's important that we're all literate. You can drop by for a quick, high-quality tutoring session on writing, spelling, or grammar any time you want.

Re: Writing Tutoring
Thanks. You're allowed to help me, if you want.
The only problem I have with this is that there are certain users that I want to recommend to this place, but I don't know how to do it and I don't want to offend them.

Re: Writing Tutoring
Hmm...well, you could say something like, "Well, if you'd like to hear how I write..." Something like that?

I don't know quite how that would work.

Wow, you really want to insult me? How dare you say I'm twelve! For your information, I am eleven, not twelve! It's all about being twelve, isn't it? People always make shows about twelve-year-olds, things always start when you're twelve, right? Is there really that big a problem with being eleven?
Now, back on subject, I really would like to see, for once, an entirely literate forum. Wait, I need to laugh for a moment, because the only place one of those would exist is in...wait, someone give me the name of a mythical land with the Internet.

It's alright. I guess being called twelve isn't that bad....

I have excellent writing, spelling, and grammar skills, I'm just too lazy to use them on forums.

Lesson 2: Nothing else because we covered it in lesson 1. Silly, we need to break it into step!

The only spamming I see here is yours, you're not contributing to the discussion, you're just making one-line replies that vaguely relate to preceding posts, and that isn't appreciated, either stop going off-topic and make a post that's worth replying to, or don't reply to the topic at all. It's a simple concept and your first warning.

Re: Writing Tutoring
Sorry Zez but I do got a lesson its about speech. Always use speech marks around the speech even with the punction. And when a some else is talking you start on a new line. To even make better speech use a adverb to describe how the person is talking. And there is 2 types of speech, reported speech and dierect speech reported speech is that you report someone the speech and dierect speech is well normal speech. So that covers todays lesson!(Sorry about bad spelling)Hushimo wrote:The only spamming I see here is yours, you're not contributing to the discussion, you're just making one-line replies that vaguely relate to preceding posts, and that isn't appreciated, either stop going off-topic and make a post that's worth replying to, or don't reply to the topic at all. Re: Writing Tutoring
Love how this thread only became active after I made a post. Negativity for the win!
Also, Zezima, I don't give a :3 about my English skills. My motto: If you can understand and read my post, There's no need to go back a proof read and make it perfect, its a :3 form*, not an essay.
Also, Ashley, sorry for the assumption that you're 12, not that being 11 is much better. Also, isn't it a common rule that if the number is >100 you spell it out? ;) Not that I care, though.
Edit: * and that happens when I just post right away rather than double checking. <.<

No, less than nine is spelled out; 10 and up you use numbers. That's how most journalism teachers will request you write.

Re: Writing Tutoring
Meh, My English teacher in 8th said it was 1-100. However 1-20 is the most done. She was a liar :S
