Old, I know. But I only learned of it today, so don't be surprised if things changed.

So let me get this straight. They think laptops, iPods, cameras, handheld video games, and cell phones are "essential" and cannot possibly store any threat on the lives of those aboard the plane. And according to the article, they think books carry a bigger threat to passengers and workers on a plane than electronics?

Yeah, this is ridiculous. What could someone do with a book that is discrete and dangerous?

Whack someone on the head, I suppose. But you can do that with anything.

You could cut a space to store a bone knife or something inside a large novel? I don't know, that's the only reasoning I can come up with for doing this. With electronics, you could probably do the same, but it'd have to be easily concealed inside of it, like maybe a proposed bone knife inside of a laptop battery compartment.

This book isn't as fatal like that book but it could kill the universe. Books Banned on Canada-U.S. Flights 180px-Spm_dark_prognosticus “Though the man in red shall wield formidable powers, one shall stand against him. The man in green shall use the Chaos Heart's power to bring darkness to all.”
    —Count Bleck, Super Paper Mario
The Dark Prognosticus is a book of prophecies that appeared in Super Paper Mario. The author of the book and the source of his or her knowledge is never revealed in the game, though Carson hints that Dimentio may have been the author. At the beginning of this powerful object is a warning: anyone who has possessed the book has never found happiness. Count Bleck, the final owner, wanted to use this book in hopes of "destroying all worlds". The Light Prognosticus was created to counter this book.

Over the years, many have fought over the Dark Prognosticus. Entire countries fell over the fight for it. Ironically, the fall of these countries were already predicted in the book itself.

Another allusion to the fact that Dimentio himself may have written the book is that Count Bleck did not originally want Dimentio as his minion. However, the book's prophecy mentioned a being of Dimentio's description, so Bleck took him in. The Dark Prognosticus also states Luigi (simply called the "man in green") is the perfect host for the Chaos Heart.

After the events of Super Paper Mario, the Dark Prognosticus "faded back into history."

Its a justifiable fear. I mean, what if you're reading Animal Farm and you think "I have to overthrow the oppresive regime of the Pilot." It can happen.
