Former Archie staffer has old Sonic stuff for Sale!
If you’re at the San Diego Comic Con right now, you may want to be on the lookout for one of the well known faces behind the older Archie Sonic comics, Ken Penders.
The photo here was shot by SEGA of America staff, who found him right on the show floor. He’s selling off plenty of material, including original work, and old illustrations from the Archie Sonic comics. According to SEGA’s blog, the staff picked up some of said illustrations, and had some vintage comics autographed. Perhaps they’ll show up on an upcoming Free Stuff Friday segment?
Penders, now a freelancer who is mostly focused on his own projects, is best known in this community for his work on earlier Archie Sonic comics, as well as the one time Knuckles side series.
Penders’s presence isn’t the only Sonic spirit at the San Diego Comic Con. SEGA does have a presence for Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, and it’s expected some new video of that game from the show floor will show up shortly.
