Shooting at Sikh Temple in Wisconsin.

Post by Nnoitra Hushimo on August 5th 2012, 2:56 pm

Ok, so you've all most likely heard of the shooting at the Aurora theater. Well, just this morning, there was another shooting in Wisconsin. Here's the article.

    http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57486965/shooting-at-sikh-temple-in-wis/

I still don't think guns should be outlawed though.

I didn't, but at this point I'm all for it. At the very least it shouldn't be this easy to get them.

NO NO NO. Right to bear arms is more important than freedom of speech. Otherwise, the military and police get to use them and ordinary people don't. They'll get too cocky. Their mouths are bad enough to listen to as it is.

This is going to end up like that 'Should I feel guilty for eating meat' thread.

My point exactly. If they were banned though, crime rate would only go spiraling upwards.

I'm reminded of Rurouni Kenshin who walked around with a wooden sword.

Swords became banned in Japan. Nothing good came from that! Just a 33 volume book about absolutely nothing!

At least those aren't instant kill and you can defend yourself from them. I know you can't stop violence, but you can probably stop someone from killing 8/15 in one go.

You're really giving to much credit of the average person, having a weapon of any kind is still more effective to blunder the the victim to death. It still cause fear and pain.

This makes no sense. Guns aren't even illegal here where I live so what you speak of is nonsense.

Because 99% of them aren't even paid enough to leave the country.

Banning guns would only make it so the criminals have them, and not the people who listen to the law. It's not like you can stop guns from being made. Just like when they banned alcohol many years ago, people still drank all the time, it just became more of an issue/controversy.

Still would probably prevent the massacres. You think the Aurora guy would have been able to kill fifteen and injure over fortry if he was using a bat?

    That joke is not inappropriate

As far as I can tell, this wasn't an anti-religion attack.
