Wat do
In the shortest terms I know how, I'd like to ask the community, what remains of it, what they'd like to do with TSC. Put the power in the people's hands and whatnot. What do you think is the best course of action for us to take at this juncture?

Re: Wat do
Whatever you want man, but I suggest work with the community and if they suggest something, either go with it or explain why you can't or don't want to. And stop changing everything up every other week. What also probably did the biggest damage I've seen was just arbitrarily deciding everyone needed bans or letting people who did need bans just slide.

I say keep TSC alive. Think of new things to do and make the community active.
Can't remember the login info for my old account, but I really like this forum and would be really sad to see it go away (again). =/

Push onward! No matter the passage of time, the faces that pass, or the worlds you encounter, push onward and upward! Don't let the bad times or the mistakes hold you back! Drill the site to the peaks, to the skies, to the stars and beyond! Drill onward until you win!

Re: Wat do
I am the kind of person that stops in from time to time to see what is happening. I have been to many other Sonic forums with a lot more activity. However, the people there don't seem to be as friendly as they are here.
In short, I still like the community here better than any Sonic sight I have been to. It just gets on my nerves when the TSC disappears for months at a time, then re-appears without warning or explanation. I say leave it up and they will come.

Re: Wat do
Every time I get a newsletter from this site, I go "Hey, I remember this place. I should stop by and start posting again." I hang around for a couple of days before I realize that I don't really have any friends here and I'm not that interested in being in a Sonic community anymore. So then I end up dying again, the next newsletter comes around, I come back and start posting again, rinse and repeat.
Having been a member since the very beginning, I feel kind of bad that I don't really have any suggestions for this site. As I mentioned before, I'm not really interested in being involved in a Sonic community anymore, so I have no real drive to visit this site. I don't know what the problem what this site is exactly or why its activity died out (again). I'm guessing most of the members simply moved on.
I have nothing really to suggest, so I guess this post is rather useless. Pardon my rambling.

Row, row.
We just need to keep moving forward, remember the lessons and examples from over the years when rebuilding the community, and press through this with perseverance.

Re: Wat do
Just going to speak on behalf of myself and why I became so inactive.
I just personally got tired of Sonic, and going on Internet Forums. I love this community and I love you guys, but I just don't have time to devote here anymore. I occasionally stop by, usually when Zezima links me to a topic, but mostly, I just don't have time anymore.
I go on one Internet Community now, NeoGAF, I just don't have time to browse TSC anymore. Still, I think you should keep going Zezima and just leave the site up, and hopefully it'll revive itself somewhere along the line. Doesn't hurt to leave it up.

Re: Wat do
Whenever this site comes back, there is always a surge in activity. After this initial surge in activity, we get a couple members who return and post occasionally. There is nothing really here that keeps the new and returning members enticed. We need fresh ideas, not design overhauls and not polls such as this asking to keep the site up or not (this leads to users questioning the stability of the site).
TLDR:
If you are going to keep the site up, do something with it that will attract users and will entice them to post often.

Re: Wat do
Personally, I enjoyed TSC a lot more without all these new skin changes and additional items to the website. I miss the simple black skin with all the Sonic characters together on the banner. I think that people focused to much on keeping the 'look' more current and new, rather than the 'content'.
I can honestly say that with me and my constraining time schedule, message boards as a whole have ceased to exist in my life. Doesn't mean that I don't, at least, try to post every now and then. But when you come back to some type of new and convoluted type of website, and none of the friends you remember ever posting, you tend to dissipate from the website again.
Perhaps the best thing to do for TSC now is to focus more on 'advertising' or moving on to new, better, different horizons. Sonic the Hedgehog, as a gaming franchise has been dying slowly, even the SEGA forums isn't doing to well with their Sonic section. With the oncoming releases of horrible game after horrible game, Sonic has been made a mockery out of.
This in itself may be the main reason why TSC has become inactive lately. I noticed myself being drawn towards more 'general gaming' message boards and not 'game specific' ones. I like talking about all kinds of different games with different communities all at once. As much as I love Sonic, and trust me...I do. I just can't see myself investing time in such a, now, boring ass game.
Update the TSC into something more, make it a bigger and better community than just 'Sonic'. Allow it to be the best gaming forum in the history of the internet. That is my opinion, thanks for hearing it out.

I agree. I still like this Sonic forum better than any other forum out there but it's the stability of this forum that people will question....This will happen, especially when the site disappears and reappears again without reason. I can vouch that I will stay around but many others may be turned off by it. It almost sounds like you are asking for our permission to close the forum down. If you don't want the task of administrating it, I would suggest either finding someone who does or just shut it down.

Re: Wat do
Eh, I could promote it in my signature on other forums and spam the link everywhere. Other than that I can help getting things done. I'm also the founder of the Sonic Games Dimension, which is pretty much going upwards though I'm trying to get hang of the design stuff and CSS, but I might pay for a designer instead.
But I can understand if you'd decline the offer, since I'm new on this forum and most of you don't know me. Meh.
Other than that, I don't see anything wrong, kicking up this forum again. Since I read what happened to this place (i.e. the admin drama, etc) I'd suggest reorganizing the staff so such thing won't happen again.

Re: Wat do
For the sake of all the progress made over the last five years, I'd say it would be a shame to quit now.
That being said, I have faith that whatever decision you make, will be the right one. So let's see what happens, and whatever the outcome, be proud that we lasted this long.

As in not interested anymore? I'm sure any other active admin (I assume Heroes?) could make a decision of what happens next.
