[Query] Dump

Where did the dump go? It makes the forum look cleaner with the locked topic going there, rather spread throughout the forums.

Thats what I was wondering. I totally agree.

The TSF has a community dump. That should get him wild up.

Didn't we get rid of it to make the site look cleaner? I don't remember, all I remember was the dump was in like 5 categories and that Omnihush made a hilarious topic title in there.

No, the dump was in five descending categories, not five different ones.

It's not a monument. It's just a place where all the locked topics go, so the aern't jumbled in the forums, like Iv'e said multiple times already.

I think if people are dumb enough to get a thread locked, it should be kept in the original place for all to see. I don't think it makes anything look bad.

Sykog, same thing. It's a waste of a forum anyways.
rather just delete so we never have to see the horrible thread that got deleted, after all, if it was lock, it was for spam or for a bad reason.

I have to agree with Sykog. As well, we can make the forum only in view of the Moderators and Administrators of the site. That way, the locked topics can be moved out of the forum, so that it isn't as cluttered, and the topics can no longer be viewed by the users of the site.

I do like the idea Miles said of making it Admin/Mod viewable only. Otherwise, I say no, because then we'd be putting all the failures up for display, rather than them being buried in better topics. But whatever works best for the site I guess.

I disagree, for the same reason why I think warning/banning logs should be public. If you're stupid enough to get your thread locked/get warned/get banned/whatever, you should face the consequences, both from the staff and your peers. It makes you less likely to do it again, IMO, and sets an example of what not to do to the youngsters that join.

I agree with you in terms of the such, but having numerous locked topics is just going to take up extra space within the forum. Having numerous locked topics that are almost identical in the reason why there are locked is pointless and takes up space within the forum. Having one of the topics to set an example is alright, but having numerous topics of the such all together in one spot is not needed. As well, not every locked topic is locked due to a negative reason. A person may have had a problem and it was solved, further discussion wouldn't be needed, and the topic would be locked. That would begin taking up space within the section when it does not to be there.

Don't really see a point in creating a board for locked topics, though. It doesn't make the forum look like a piece of crap when you have locked threads, ALL forums have locked/split threads.
