Alot of people I know who own the game don't even know there was a final boss past Egg Emporer. It's like the old games. You can beat the game and enjoy yourself or waste a week trying to get to one boss.sykog77 wrote:But then you can't make it to the final boss, can you?Erazor wrote:Who said you were forced to play through the game with all 4 teams? I still think Team Rose should have been optional though.

It is required to play every identical level of Sonic Heroes with every team. That was quite tedious.

That stage wasn't just a bonus like Green Hill in SA2, it was part of the actual story, had the final boss, Super Sonic, and the true ending. Going by your logic, technically, we didn't have to play any of the game.Erazor wrote:... to get the secret final stage that no one cares about. I don't seee why everyone makes a big deal out of it.

Re: Sonic Heroes
Look at it this way. As a kid, when you were playing through Sonic 3 & Knuckles, when you didn't get all of the emeralds and the final stage did you give a crap? And yes. No one has to play the game at all. It's not like I'm tied down to my chair with a controller in my hand.Roterblitz wrote:That stage wasn't just a bonus like Green Hill in SA2, it was part of the actual story, had the final boss, Super Sonic, and the true ending. Yes, I actually used to purposely try and get all the emeralds, to the point that I would have my brother finish the final emerald stages. It's apart of the main game, I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to at least finish the general game to it's completion
You're not playing the game fully if you're only playing 1/4th of it.

Re: Sonic Heroes
I must admit, Sonic Heroes is very underrated, I loved the game when it first came out. I haven't played it in a few years now but apart from the voices, controlling 3 characters at once and kiddyness of it, I don't see anything wrong with it.

We realized that repetivness was there but we were too into it to care, me and my little brother.
I realize it's a flaw but I still managed to have fun none the less.

Re: Sonic Heroes
One thing I liked about the game was how every level had it's own sort of gimmick.
Zone 1: No gimmick here. Just an easy first zone.
Zone 2: Fast Forward tracks.
Zone 3: Pinball and Bingo
Zone 4: Grind rails. Grind rails. Grind rails.
Zone 5: Rain Frogs altering the stage
Zone 6: Stages flip upside down, invisible pathways, haunted house hi-jinks.
Zone 7: Designed specifically to crush your hopes of beating the game. Also, ship hopping.
Also, I think I may have mixed up zones 5 and 6.

I wouldn't say that, I don't think there were any grind rails in zone 3 (Carnival). Do you mean zone 4?sykog77 wrote:No you didn't. i think zone 3 had too much grinding though.Erazor wrote:One thing I liked about the game was how every level had it's own sort of gimmick.

lol I figured you meant 4. After all, 90% of those stages were literally on-rails.

You could have always played as another team. :Psykog77 wrote:-team rose gameplay should have been optional
Anyway, I liked the game. Team Shadow was my favourite team, followed by Team Sonic. My favourite level/world was the casino.
Uh yeah, beat it with all teams, but never managed to get all the emeralds. Never managed to get all A's either, simply because whenever I'd try, I'd get to the end and BAM, fall through the floor. <_<

Hah! Try getting all the chaos emeralds on Sonic 2! Now 'that' is a feat! Heroes, however, was... erm. Huh? Heroes? Sonic Heroes? What game was that? I've never heard of a Sonic Heroes. It must not exist.

I think Heroes has one of the easiest Special stages. Blue Spheres is by far the hardest.FelixMargarita wrote:karkooshy wrote:yeah talking about the final boss...

The only problem I had with that is when I would land with a speed character.karkooshy wrote:how do u move, the controls are so slippery... I move it a little to the right next off... the character goes around and is walking upside-down on the top xP
