Scientists Invent Particle That Will Let You Live Without Breathing.

So far scienctists have already tested this on animals who have critical lung failure. This works by injecting the liquid into the patient' veins, restoring oxygeb in the blood to almost normal levels.

This is incredible, think, this could save millions of lives every years.
This could allow medical teams to keep patients alive and well for 15 to 30 minutes despite major respiratory failure.

Now imagine using this when diving, or even in spaceships. This, this is future like advances. Incredible.

Astronauts will still be wearing space suits for a while yet; the vacuum of space has the tendency to utterly destroy the human body with critical decompression. Plus all that solar radiation; even if they survived the initial few hours of freezing their asses off, they'd be burned away. And then there's the fact that this stuff is dangerous if administered for long periods, so astronauts will have to have a standard air tank at least until techno-magicians can fine-tune this; it could save many from dying of plain and simple lack of oxygen, though. And if the air tank runs out or stops working, they could have one of these patched onto their arm inside the suit and get an injection, but this isn't gonna just let them float free 'round in space.

This is no "live without breathing" thing. I was almost excited about becoming immortal when I read that title; one of the big things that slowly destroys the human body with age is the highly reactive oxygen we breathe in. That's why if you don't get enough antioxidants, you're gonna be in bad shape pretty fast in the short term, and in the long term you'll die faster. Even so, yay. Innocent little girls who are in critical respiratory failure can be saved now. That guy achieved his dream. Moreover, I'm glad that medical scientists are finally starting to get away from poorly thought out pills and crazy chemicals, and actually synthesize things that work with the human body without giving you side effects like "anal seepage."

Yeah. I was jumping and being hopeful with this news. Just hoping that we can further advance this to make stuff like Space Colonies a reality, and hopefully make it last longer than half an hour.

The only bad thing about this, that I can see thus far, is it'll probably pose a risk of bubbles in the blood, but if you're at the point that you'll need this (I.E, you stopped breathing) I'm pretty sure Bubbles is the least of your worries.
