Re: Man of Steel
I saw the trailer during the showing of The Dark Knight Rises. That trailer alone gave me more entertainment then the Movie, and the Trailer didn't give me that much entertainment. :P
Doesn't look very interesting so far, but, can't fairly judge from a trailer.

Re: Man of Steel
I've never been much of a Superman fan... but it is directed by Christopher Nolan who made three of the best movies ever (except The Dark Knight, which was the best), so we'll see.

It's directed by Zack Snyder, who made 300 and Watchmen.Link451 wrote:I've never been much of a Superman fan... but it is directed by Christopher Nolan who made three of the best movies ever (except The Dark Knight, which was the best), so we'll see.

It's a joint direction, so it'll be even harder to screw this up.
I'm so excited, the first time Superman has potential to not be an omniscient douche.

Uhh, no, Zack's the only director. Nolan is a producer and a screenwriter.Zez wrote:-RT wrote:It's directed by Zack Snyder, who made 300 and Watchmen.

The Watchmen movie was awesome. This guy knows his comic books well.

Who would defend Marvel now that's it's owned by Disney?

Re: Man of Steel
The Avengers was pretty terrible.
"OH OH, BUT IT MADE SO MUCH MONEY AND HAD A LOT OF EXPLOSIONS!"
Yeah well, Avatar was the same, and it was shit too.

What's with the Nicknames? Batman did it and even by the time the third movie came around it overstayed its welcome.

Comparing the Avengers with Avatar. I cringed.
The reason I found the Avengers so enjoyable was because of how well they handled and balanced the characters. They all got their moments and all of them played some part in the movie. The characterization of theme was also pretty spot on most of the time (this was probably helped by all of the movies leading up to it). It didn't feel like you were watching these people act like most of these characters, you felt like you were watching these characters. The chemistry between all of them was great, and the dialog was witty and pretty funny the majority of the time. The well directed and big-budgeted action scenes were great, but they definitely weren't the only, or even the best part of it.
I'm getting way off topic though. From the trailer, it looks like it has a lot of potential, but I won't get my hopes up just yet. I'd rather sit back and watch how things unfold. As I like to say, hope for the best and expect the worst.

You're just mad because Ant Man wasn't in it.84 wrote:The Avengers was pretty terrible.

I don't know either, but it's a good way to keep it from sounding like the older movies.Alice Twilight wrote:What's with the Nicknames? Batman did it and even by the time the third movie came around it overstayed its welcome.
