    At the start of the game, everyone is attending a picnic in honour of Sonic’s 20th, when all of a sudden a mysterious dark force intrudes and sends everyone, including our spiky blue protagonist, back in time. Sonic is finding a way to get himself and everyone else back to the present time and along the way he bumps into many familiar faces including his younger (albeit chubbier) self! The two Sonics team up and work together to save their friends once again.

    So let me get this straight

    Sonic and his Friends are hosting a picnic in honor of his 20th birthday even though he's 15. Then Alucard comes down and turns into Captain Price sending them hurtling back in time, where Sonic meets himself in the past causing a horrific time and space collapse destroying the world as we know it.

    Thought if you think about it, some grouchier Sonic haters might say that Generations has no new ideas as it is only recycling old levels instead of making new ones.
