animated blood

wh othinks that's a dumb rating? i mean, 99% of the time it's just lots explosions or smkoe coming out of smoething when it dies.
a game called "real war" that i have is rated T becuase of animated blood, and the only thing of the sort is that tanks and stuff like that blow up when destroyed!
i took me forever to convince my dad to let me play it. >.>
dumb ESRB.

Animated blood means there is blood, only that it's not realistic, like green "alien" blood.

yeah, al there was from that was freakin smoke!
i'm telllin ya. whenever i see that rating, it's almost always smoke of some color or tons of explosions.
it ad animated blood becuase of how many tanks you kill and how they die. -_-'

No because the whole game took itself so seriously and they made everything so dark and dreary. It didnt really work well though.

If that really is the case, then the game does not have animated blood, it doesn't change the definition of it.

Probably, in Next Gen, isnt there a part where Sonic gets cut, and Elise tries to heal it.(if I am wrong, dont blame me, I dont own the game!)

I don't think it's dumb, it's called animated blood because it doesn't look as real. Trust me, I've seen games with realistic blood in it, there's a big difference.

The ratings and descriptions are their to help parents make decisions on what games are good or bad for their kid. Some parents don't want their kids to play certain video games until they're a certain age because of a game's content. Not to mention kids sometimes like to repeat what they see on TV.

Look at Sonic Unleashed. It has animated blood, but it looks NOTHING like it. it can either be green zombie blood, or just mist effects shooting off of bad guys when you hit them. Only thing that normally can decide if it's realistic fantasy blood is if there's mild violence or strong violence, etc.
