Alright, my game consoles have a lot of dust and lint inside the consoles and in the cartridge inserter (don't know the name, its where you put the game carts on.) I want to remove and clean them using a Spray Can like a dust remover. You know, like those same cans used for spraying the insides of a PC. Would you guys recommend that I do this? If so, what would I have to watch out for?

Consoles include Genesis, PSone & PS2 Slim Dreamcast, SNES, GCN, and Wii.

I know that compressed air works well, though I have never used it on something like a PS2, it works well for Genesis and cartridge based consoles and in computers so I see no reason that it would not work.

usally only use cleaning kits that are sent out by the console makers specificlly for that console because they have exact instructions so you won't have to worry about damaging the lens

Well, when my Playstation wouldn't work, I opened it up and aired it out. You'd be surprised how much dust gets in there. Still once a Playstation's f***ed, it's f***ed unless you can find someone who knows how to repair it. However, airing out cartridge inputs (that's what they're called BTW) is fine.

My cousin used to use his dad's air pump thing a ma bob. I suppose it worked, but it's mostly dead now anyway.
