Tell me how you like it so far. The working in progress name of it is: "Daydream Episode I: The Mighty Sniper".
It was just another quiet day on the island. Things have been like this for months now. Just some work would pass on through for Daydream. When he wasn’t searching for someone or chasing a petty thief, he would just lie around on his island. It would seem as though he was at one with nature. The critters would crawl towards him; the birds would sing their lovely song to him. A nice sigh and a pair of sunglasses later, he would doze off in his little dance with the animals. And it just seemed like no one was in trouble until…
BZZZZZT!!!
The creatures all fled. Daydream awoke suddenly. He ran to his communicator and turned it on. It was Mr. Reubin, head of national security. He looked pale and full of grief.
“Walker! A robbery has just taken place at the national bank! But something just doesn’t seem right. You must come! Quickly!”
“I’m on my way,” Daydream ran out the door, leapt above the sea, and glided until a wind picked him up.
It was about 3:20 in the afternoon when he arrived. Glass shattered, people panic-stricken. It seemed like a gust blew the bank clean out. Daydream found Mr. Reubin. “What happened this time?” he asked.
Mr. Reubin took in a deep breath and let it out. “Bad news, I’m afraid. No money was stolen.”
Daydream was surprised. “Then what’s the big hurry?”
“They stole the Chaos Emerald.”
Daydream became curious. “They? Who are they?”
Mr. Reubin looked outside. “We don’t know. But it was a gang. Five or six of them, I’d suppose. Two of them looked like bodyguards for the President on steroids. The assumed leader was a skimpy figure with a cowboy hat the size of his head.”
Daydream knew who robbed the bank. “I know who did it. Fang and his gang came here. But what would they want with a Chaos Emerald?” He turned to the door and wished Mr. Reubin for the best and took off into the sky.
