I actually got this game a few days ago. It's incredibly short, but there's enough variety in the missions and character customization to make it worth replaying.

Is it an improvement over the first game? My experience with that one included basically a clusterfrack of projectiles coming at me from every angle and trying to fly around only to collide with unseen walls.

Playing through it on hard brings to light all of the little things that make it mediocre at best. Even so, I'm not going to call it bad, since it was at least playable. Unlike some other Sega games. :lazy:

that... is... absolutely... TRUE! the demo was amasing, they made some good adjustments from the first game. For example, the flying and the manuverability was much better in the second game. in the first one it was really difficult. and the soundtrack in Ironman 2 was EPIC!

...That doesn't fit my opinion at all. I played the demo and thought it was awful, at least for a next gen $60 game. The framerate is meh, the graphics are meh, the sound effects are awful, the missiles don't even lock on even though the guns do, the enemies are pretty uninspired, and some other things I pushed out of my mind.
Maybe if it were made for PS2 5 years ago, it would have been an average game in my mind, but that's all I can say.

I usually prefer playing games on easy. I played Iron Man 2 in a friend's house (I don't yet have it), and I played it on easy, and we completed it much quicker than we would have done if we had played it on hard.
