Finally! After many days of drama, work, and wondering why most of the kids in my class are as dumb as they are, I'm free! No more blithering numbskulls for 3 months! And next year, the only dimwits I may have to deal with will be in my Spanish 1 class, which may be mostly freshmen. My semester finals went great (other than being 10 minutes late to my Geography final AND gettinga call from Mr. Neighbors, the teacher, wondering where I was). I do, however, have a summer assignment for Pre-AP English 2. I have to read A Tale of Two Cities, write a journal analyzing it and write a 2-page essay about how self-sacrifice has applied to my life. Other than that, I'm finally out, I'm not a fish anymore and I can relax. But tonight, my older sister, Madison, is graduating, and I'm going to watch and perform at it. My mom will likely bawl the whole time, and tomorrow night, we're having her graduation party at the best Italian place in Amarillo. And once late August comes around, she's gonna leave and go to Baylor. It's gonna be hard because she'll be hundreds of miles away(especially for my mom; Maddie remembers everything for her) but I know we can live on. We have to.
I'm glad school's done for the year. I'm gonna be a sophomore!
