Does pokemon suck now?

I'm sick of the new pokemon games. The series took a turn for the worse in third gen. The fourth was just plain awful. There were over 20 legendary pokemon. That's not what Pokemon is about.

Eh, I continue to enjoy it, and I really liked Diamond and Pearl, not to mention HeartGold and SoulSilver. However, the repetitiveness of the gameplay is starting to annoy me, and there are just so many Pokemon to catch now. I mean, 496 Pokemon? You expect normal children to catch that many? Not to mention the fact that they're making even MORE Pokemon for the 5th generation.....

Well I think they should have stopped after they made Lucario ^^ :P :faic:

Why should they stop? Pokemon fans still enjoy the games, I would think, so it's not fair to stop them if you don't even know the score of the situation.

I was just kidding i've been a fan ever since the original 150. But Lucario just been my favorite. I don't really think they should stop.

Adding new Pokemon gives players more variety and options, as well as changing strategies among existing Pokemon, and there's more to do outside of battle. And even if you don't like the new setting or story, they remade Gold and Silver with the updated battle system, what's not to like?

No I just forgot about it for a while and have ignored, but I will restart all of my games.........

IMO they should just stick with the generation one Pokemon.

I dunno, I did like the second generation too I guess. It's just I hate the newer ones, they look... Not Pokemon to me.

You can't possibly hate all of them, some of them are actually directly related to Generation I Pokemon, and you can still catch all of the original 150.

Yes, the Pokemon are still awesome, but what about catching them? The entire Pokemon list? All 496? That's almost impossible to actually accomplish......Personally, I feel like they're pumping these guys out way too much....

My main issue with the series is that there hasn't been an honest to God Pokemon console adventure yet. And no, I do not count Gale of Darkness.

Hell, it could have N64 graphics for all I care, I just want to play a real 3D Pokemon RPG on a console and a big screen.

Well, Game Freak thinks that the DS is the way to go for Pokemon....

You don't have to catch them all, that's never been a requirement in any of the games, it was just a slogan they made back in the day to trick us into buying the same game twice.

Seeing as it's not required, they just gave us more options and gameplay balance without taking anything away, what exactly are people not happy about?

Yeah, I'd have to say that the sheer number of Pokemon are what makes the games last so long. One Pokemon game will eat of months of time even if you're not trying to catch'em all.

Although, I was a little pissed when I caught all of the pokemon in Red and just got a screen basically saying "Good Job". A secret item or something would have been nice.
