Meanwhile, in Mly's mind ...
Oho! The old magnificent bastard article, eh? ... Hmmm, it's been rather long since I've read it. It might've been updated greatly since. ... Yes, I think I will read it again, actually. I won't click any links, th-- |

I don't think Mly takes sides, he will just kill everyone in the end.

Re: The Random Hotel
Hi. Yeah, that's me, Mly. Someone banned my main account. Hopefully just as a lazy and temporary fix (That didn't work.) for the glitches I described in that thread in Scrap Brain.
ETA: Nope, never mind. Plix (AKA SEGA Dude) almost surely banned me because I handed his ass to him last time he was on the staff lists and royally screwed up.
It seems like, when people pass a certain threshold of power, it borders on impossible for them to learn that the power they possess isn't absolute.
I've been through this song and dance multiple times with him, Cy, and Lan, as well as many others on other sites, and while all of them are still doing "push button, give ban, repeat as necessary" (Save for possibly Cy, but I don't much care because he's gone anyway.) I've refined my technique on dodging bans and challenging staff members through nothing more than live practice and retention.
I can re-register faster, get proxies and e-mails faster, do everything mechanical faster. And I might not necessarily do the big talking and such faster, but I do indeed do it more efficiently.
All the while, they've gotten no better at their side of this banal little fight, and their little plan of "Keep pushing the buttons, guys! He'll stop eventually, right!? ... Shit, he's not stopping!" never worked in the first place, so now it not only fails miserably, but fails more miserably and more quickly.
It's almost hilarious at this point, how I'm capable of curb-stomping individuals who are, in the context of this site, meant to be infallible and unstoppable and such, by the simple virtue of my tenacity in fighting for the social sanity of the site.
If they actually did things half-way decently, I really wouldn't have any ground to stand on. Nor would I have the inclination to stand my ground so.
And now, you may notice because of another thread I recently made in Scrap Brain, Zez himself is very much ready to reward me for my hard work and punish them for their blatant incompetence.
P.S.: That's the magnificent bastard whose book you read, Jmh. At work, right up there. Me.

Re: The Random Hotel
Well at least you're confident, Mly. I've had to deal with people who have no self confidence, regardless of what you say to them, and although dealing with someone who has an ego the size of a small building at least you're not writhing in self pity as a crowd tells you how you're not an awful waste of existence.
Sorry for the rant, Mly's self glorification post just reminded me of people I know and I just needed to let that out somewhere. No offense to Mly, of course, although I have a feeling you took none.
Sorry again if any of this is rude, I'm just stressed is all (although that's hardly an excuse to be rude) but I'll be back to my normal cheery self soon, no worries.

Re: The Random Hotel
And now I have my original account back, complete with admin powers, after some investigation of what black magic Plix used to ban it in the first place. And I have 100% confirmed that it is indeed Plix.
Further, recent actions of his, that I am now capable of viewing with ease, make a nigh-indestructible case for his motive being nothing more than malice against myself personally.

Re: The Random Hotel
Dammit, now that I'm an admin, I'm so tempted to just randomly edit your sig and change the classic *chan ban line to something fittingly "Mly-like" as a ban message, just to give people a jump.
