I don't get it

I pronounced it that way from the beginning, even if I don't really eat the stuff often. I find it weird that Schnickel thinks it tastes like sand though. Tastes more chocolatey to me than anything.

Just, we knew that was how it was supposed to be pronounced. And Nutella's disgusting, by the way :P

I tasted some Nutella again to try and see where you guys are coming from, and I can't. It tastes like a chocolatey nutty paste that's maybe the tiniest bit grittier than peanut butter. If you don't like chocolates with nuts in them, I could see you finding it disgusting, but that's about it.

I don't know how you people can stand the taste and look of poo.

Something even more hilarious I just found out about all this is that the main ingredient in Nutella is sugar, followed by a fatty oil, and a relatively small amount of hazelnuts and processed skim milk powder.

In other words, it's junk food. Nutritionally equivalent to a chocolate bar. And a bunch of you hate it. I'm not sure whether to be proud or horrified.

But yeah, if you want to read in depth on the nutrition side of it, go here. Also of note, Nutella settled a 3 million dollar lawsuit not too long ago for false advertising of their product as a healthy breakfast food (ads here and here). PS, the official Australian ad pronounces the beginning of Nutella as nut.

I just don't think it tastes good, that's all.

After learning all of that, I'm pretty sure that's a good thing. Though I still don't get how you can like chocolate and think the stuff tastes that horrible. Taste-buds are an odd thing.
