Playable Side Characters

Don't know about you but I think it's high time SEGA starts making some of the cast members relevant outside of cut scenes and bosses. If they can revitalize Sonic's game-play then they can damn well do it for their side characters.
So which side character do you miss having control over and why?

For me it be tails because flying is awesome. I'd also like them to make blaze relevent again even though I only played her in Sonic 06 :( It also be interesting to see them take rouge and knuckles gameplay in a new direction.

As crazy as it may sound, Omega holds a high place in my wanted list, simply because he's someone I can see totally tearing levels apart in order to reach the goal.

Knuckles, Tails, and Big.

E-123 Omega, but that's mostly because he's my favorite character. I really want a game where he's fun to play

This alone made me add Omega to my list.

Silver's gameplay, if done right, could make for a very interesting game, and I really just want to see Shadow playable again.

I could easily see an Assassins Creed/Portal style game using Silver.

Honestly I would love for everyone to be playable again, though I chose shadow because Ive always had the most fun playing with him. Even in sonic 06 the levels seemed to screw up less and the vehicles, had they been done right ( hover especially ) would have been awesome to play as.

I enjoyed playing as blaze more than shadow in 06, but that was because it seemed that they worked on her gameplay features more, and shes actually FASTER than sonic

I'm sorry, but Blaze being faster than Sonic is a 'no'. How the hell is a cat from the future going to outrun the fastest hedgehog in history? SEGA needs to think about that and fix it.
