There is a thread about your favorite zones, but it doesn't ask you about your favorites in each Sonic game... Now I'll do it... NOTE: Race stages, fight stages, all are accepted.

Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone
Sonic 2 - Chemical Plant Zone; Death Egg Zone
Sonic 3 - Angel Island Zone; Hyrdocity Zone
S&K - Flying Battery Zone; Sky Sanctuary
Sonic CD - Stardust Speedway; Palmtree Panic; Quartz Quadrant
Sonic Advance - Egg Rocket
SA - Skydeck Zone; Twinkle Park
Sonic Unleashed - Eggmanland; Rooftop Run (Spagonia)
S4E1 - M.ad* Gear Zone
S4E2 - Oil Desert Zone (top favorite zone in the whole series)

EDIT: Note that how favorite a zone is to me is determined by many factors. For example, being Eggman-based (M.ad Gear, Skydeck, Oil Desert), having soundtrack I love (Oil Desert), challenging (Eggmanland, Egg Rocket), being unforgettable (Stardust Speedway), and the setting (Oil Desert)

As the difficulty and Eggman-y influence on the architecture of a zone increase, my fondness for said zone tends to increase as well. So in general, my favorite zone for a given Sonic game is the last one or at least close to the last one.

Sonic 1: Labyrinth;
Sonic 2: Metropolis, or Genocide/Cyber City if zones that didn't make the final cut of the game are allowed for inclusion;
Sonic 3: Ice Cap
Sonic & Knuckles: Death Egg
Sonic CD: Wacky Workbench
Sonic Pocket Adventure: Gigantic Angel
Sonic Advance: Angel Island
Sonic Advance 2: Egg Utopia
Sonic Advance 3: Chaos Angel
Sonic Advance: Angel Island
Sonic Adventure: Final Egg
