Walmart refuses to carry and sell 21st Century Breakdown.

Green Day is lashing out at walmart for refusing to carry and sell their newest CD because Green Day refused to censor it.

I think that is ridiculous, considering eminem's new CD is available at walmart, and hundreds of raunchy, offensive movies, games, and cd's are available at walmart.

I have 21st century breakdown, it is not dirty, it is not inapropriate, what do you guys think ? Is walmart's fight over this hypocratic censorship the right move, or are they just basically throwing away the money they could of made off the CD ?

They can lose customers if they wish.

In a song which has line "After every hit we take", it is censored;

"After every we take"


The song does not imply this meaning, but is censored because; Hit could imply getting high. The cencorship laws in US are way too dramatic.

It is odd, considering they do let by worse stuff, but I suppose they did it for a reason.

It really depends on what they think is offencive within the content. What words were within within the lyrics that could be considered offencive? Wal-Mart though has issues within numerous aspects of the company, and their sensorship to certain products could be one of them.

1. It is OFFENSIVE dear.
And 2. IT IS CENSOR.
Read it, write is, and learn how to type it.

Let us all pray that this is the beginning of the end for Wal-Mart.

What, I can imagine many people going insane if Wal-Mart closed.

I can see many people dancing in the streets if Wal-Mart closed.

Their stores are dirty, unorganized, and plain totalitarian.

It may cause other problems as well. Apparently Wal-Mart is the only company to have a large impact within the United States economy. If Wal-mart did close down, then the economy would be in an even worse position than it is currently.
