Eggman kinda saved the world in Next-gen. Then blew himself up.

Both times Silver appeared to try and kill Sonic, Eggman manages to sneak in and kidnap Elise, which resulted in him (albeit unintentionally) saving the world, because if Elise witnessed Sonic being killed by Silver, she would certainly have burst into tears, thus releasing Iblis.

Then his battleship exploded. Way to go! You're a hero doctor!

Yeah, if Sonic hadn't gone back and saved her, the world wouldn't have almost ended, since, you know, you have to cry to release Iblis. Dieing has no effect and will trap him forever... and she didn't cry as she was about to die... hmm...

No, because in Silver's time Elise died and Iblis was free.
