I think she's overrated. So much popularity for a not-so-creative character seems odd too me.

I like blaze, exept she doesnt belong with Silver. Silver needs to get a teddybear or something to hug.

Well, it does seem strange, but quite often creative characters are not as popular as simpler ones. She's popular and well-accepted for darn good reasons. She's a well-developed character who has flaws. That's so much more than other characters in the series have. Shadow's not original, and he's hardly flawed either. Silver's a DBZ inspired character, who's yet another hedgehog. He's undeveloped and not all that original either. Some characters like the Chaotix are your typical group of clowns, with little depth to them at all. I could go on, but those ones came to mind. Some characters serve little purpose. Note, I'm not trying to bash anyone's favorite.
So yeah, she's not the least bit overrated. I find it a bit irritating when we finally get a character who's well-accepted by the majority, yet people whine she's overrated. There are some things about her that aren't all that original, but for the Sonic series, she's a great breath of fresh air, and she has some uniqueness to her as well. She manages to pull off the tough girl thing without overdoing it to the point of being an overpowered bad arse *coughShadowcough*. And above all, I can really relate to her. She's a bit more realistic than other characters. I also love how she's Sonic exact opposite. It really brings out the best of Sonic's character.

Usually I hate the newer characters, but I must admit I really like Blaze, she's in my top 5 favourite characters. I don't know much about her personality as I've only played 1 game she's in (Sonic Rush) but from what I've seen she seems interesting, and I love her design, I think it looks really nice. I hope they make a Blaze plushie someday! =D
