I saw this before.
Because they wanted to maintain a T rating, So Falcon, Snake and Ganondorf couldn't use Swords or guns.

I thought it was because Aonuma or someone in charge was fine with Ganondorf's moveset as it was.

Link, Marth, and Ike use swords, Wolf even uses a bayonet.
