The Trioux Life
Two men in white scrubs threw Mly into a padded room. Mly was wearing a straight jacket, which he quickly stood up and slipped out of. He let a short "heh" pass the emotional display-catching web somewhere between his brain and his lips. "Thank god for those anarchy and chaos survival classes." He slowly walked over to the door. Seeing that there was no handle on his side, he gave it a quick tug from the crack between its bottom and the floor. A clank was heard, like that of titanium on titanium. Again he let an expression of emotion escape: a sigh. He carefully bit his fingernail in two places so that it formed a point, then even more carefully cut a slit in the soft pillow fiber. Sticking his hand in and pushing the fluffy cotton aside, he felt that the walls were also titanium. "Damn," he muttered. He stood in front of the door, and waited patiently.

Re: The Trioux Life
Zezima Trioux looks down at a piece of paper discarded by his father, Mly Trioux, before he was dragged away, reading what was hastily written on it moments before;
"1282 Madness Road"
"...I wonder what this place is, and how I'm supposed to find it", Zezima thought to himself, holding the ripped piece of paper delicately.Last edited by Zezima on January 19th 2010, 9:49 pm; edited 1 time in total

Re: The Trioux Life
(It was 1282 Madness Road. Not that it matters all that much. I imagine the only thing Madness Road would have on it, or at least the only thing of note, would be the insane asylum Mly is currently in. Maybe a secret dungeon, but that would be right under the insane asylum anyway.)

Ash began to cry, and wonder why she'd gotten into that mess.

Mly's patience wore thin. Eventually he sat down in front of the door, and later sprawled out in front of it. Finally, he slept.

Ash looked around the room, and reached to check if her bandage was still there--it was. She despised the bandage, the only thing she had left from that night....

(Mly's in the insane asylum, far far away, you fool. You can't just talk to him over that distance.)

Re: The Trioux Life
Suddenly, the door opened. Mly jumped to his feet and reached around. He grabbed a neck on the other side and pulled it to his side. A nurse in inoffensive white scrubs, who attempted to stick the needle he was holding into the side of Mly's own neck. He failed, as Mly grabbed the needle, stopping it short. "Hm. You move fast for someone who's been afflicted with severe coordination problems," said the nurse. Mly laughed. "You're a fool to believe that." Mly threw the nurse behind him and began to run. "That was easy," he thought. "Almost too easy." He easily dodged the guards, madmen, and medical staff, and eventually found the door. He ran up to it and straight into it. At least three of his joints made a popping noise when he slammed into it. Suddenly, he felt a sharp poking feeling at the back of his neck, followed by the words, "Silly Mly, that's a pull door." Everything was replaced by a distinct black.

Re: The Trioux Life
Ash saw the food service people walk into the room, carrying two glasses of wine.
"But...we're not old enough to drink wine," Ash said.
"Well, we just thought you guys might want to make a toast to the fact you are going to start a new life.... And our physiologist said that might help with the stress level...oh, never mind. It's a special occasion," the nurse said, placing the glasses on the two older kids' bedside tables. The nurse then left the room.
The two older siblings immediately began to drink, and Ash stared at them longingly.
"May I have some?" she asked.
The nurse returned to the front desk, and wondered to herself, I wonder when they're going to realize it's alcohol free.

Re: The Trioux Life
Mly awoke. He was again in a straight jacket, which he again maneuvered his way out of. With intent of carnage, he attacked the door using all his might. For hours, he attacked. Until he could muster no more energy to kick and punch at the door, he pounded away. But even Jhai Mly Trioux, or as some know him, The Unrelenting Tedium, surprisingly, has limits. He finally collapsed, his fiery rage reduced to tears.

Re: The Trioux Life
Zezima was in the ICU for about 3 days now, and was cleared to be released, as his concussion's swelling had been reduce enough to an acceptable size. He wandered about clutching the piece of paper in his hand, while wandering about the hospital, looking for the exit. While looking for the exit, he happen upon Ashley, and Bliz, upon which he approached, and said to the both of them;
"Guys? There's this piece of paper dad gave me. It reads '1282 Madness Road'. Any ideas as to what it means?"

"I'm not sure," Ash replied. "He might have been hallucinating....I mean, he probably got a head injury and...it's true that madness road sounds an awful lot like an asylum. But then again, he probably just wrote down some random name that sounded oddly like a mental hospital. I mean, he would have no idea where he was going. And Zez, they didn't bring a glass of wine for me...and I have an empty cup here...can I have some of yours?"

Dammit, I'm lost.
I'm in the hospital, with a broken rib and I had blood bleeding from my head.
Ok? Ok?

Then we'll have to deal with it. Sit up straight and possibly we can enjoy a meal that doesn't have one of us choking.

Mly sat up in his padded prison and sighed. "When is something interesting going to happen?" he asked of the air around him.

Re: The Trioux Life
(Okay, let's try this again.)
After several minutes of waiting, the walls on the right side of Mly's prison unfolded. A dark, dog-like figure tittuped into the room, leaving a trail of ruined walls behind him, leading clear out of the building. Its words were one-third like human speech, one-third low-pitched barking, and one-third miscellaneous mechanical noises.
"Mly. Your service to Us has not gone unnoticed. Do you remember the contract you signed?" uttered the creature with most grandiose.
"Sort of," Mly mumbled.
"It states, in paragraph nineteen, 'Mly the Keter, in exchange for your efforts against The Beasts That Shall Not Be Named, we grant you your eternal freedom from military service under our empire, as well as the granting of three wishes to be done in your time of greatest need. These wishes may be used to ask for anything that is physically possible, save for more wishes.' And this is your time of greatest need. What are your wishes?" it asked.
Mly thought for a moment, before saying "My first wish...I want to be free of this place."
"Easily enough done. I carved my way straight from the outside behind us. All that you require is to walk out. Your second wish?"
"I want to be with my children again."
"Done. I will ensure that the path between you and your children is clear of forces that could hinder you. What is your final wish?"
"I never want to be separated from my children by a wretched hellhole like this, ever again."
There was a long pause.
"Ah, I've got it."
The figure suddenly carved a large hole in the roof with some form of laser, then jumped straight up and out. It returned with a large, white, fluffy cat, which he quickly fastened a strange collar around.
"This shall be your body. With this body, there is no chance of you returning here. Of course, you'll be able to get a new body when you find a suitable one. One that the constabulary would never think was you."
"...If that's the best you can think of. I can't think of any other ideas," said Mly.
"So it is settled," the figure said. "I will transfer your mind into a machine and root the machine to the feline's nervous system immediately. You may be disoriented for a few seconds." Before Mly knew what had happened, it was over. "Oh, that collar can be used to carry out most human functions such as speaking and grasping. I'm sure you've already gathered that you shouldn't do such things around humans, aside from possibly your children. Also, I will leave your body here, dead, so that they will assume the same has happened to your mind."
Mly looked up to notice the figure holding a small brain in his hands. Too small to be his. The brain seemed to disappear with a flick of the wrist from the strange being. Mly ran off at the highest speed a cat could run.

Re: The Trioux Life
Zezima left the hospital and began wandering in search of the fabled Madness Road. After countless hours of walking about, he came upon a street sign that read "Madness Rd". He walked alongside the road until he reached the 1200 block. He walked hurriedly along counting as he goes...
"1254...
1258...
1262...
1264...
1268...
1272...
1276...
1280...
128--
...."
Zezima suddenly stopped walking. He began to circle in his stationary position, surveying his environment for any clues that would lead him to this seemingly non-existent location. He looked about and found nothing. He began to think that, in a moment of desperation, his father had a Quixotic moment wherein during his mentally unstable state had a moment of grandeur, and fantasized a place in his mind which he confused with reality. Zezima stood there. Puzzled. Wondering. Thinking. Waiting.
