According to the AP, an eBay user got big money for an old system and a small collection of games. North Carolina eBay member lace_thongs35 put up a Nintendo Entertainment System for auction on the site. After just one hour, the highest bid was around $6,000, and by the end on Wednesday, the system and collection sold for $13,105. The reason the winner had to cough up so much? The system came in its original box, valued nearly $10,000, and one of the rarest games ever, Stadium Events, came with it, increasing its value even more. Hungry collectors rushed at the chance to collect a very scarce piece of gaming history, but only one could get it. Either they are one of the greatest investors on the Internet or one of the dumbest.

I wouldn't spend more than 20 on an NES, no matter how "valuable" it supposedly is.
