I say it should be shortened down to "If you're a tard who doesn't know how to type, get out or we'll make you get out," though.

I'll say it here and now. This rule is a nice way of saying that. I'm sick and tired of improper grammar strewn about here and there and everywhere. I realize there are the occasional typos, but a lot of these are intentional.
Stop with the :)
and the LOL/LULZ
and the AWESOMES!!!!
and i think Everyone wiith athe odd Capitlaizatrion is just Stupi
and the lack of periods, comma splices, etc., etc.,
Either get spellcheck, slow down enough to reread what you're saying, or at least edit your post. Don't be a tard. Use English. End of.

Re: English
Yes, but do you actually expect people who are too stupid to type to read all of that? It doesn't deter the morons. It just allows you to ban them after they've spammed half the fora with their utter failures in communication. I say you should at least put it at the top of the post as a laconic version of the rule.Zezima wrote:This rule is a nice way of saying that.

Re: English
If they didn't bother to read the rules before, chances are they won't now even if it's simplified. Not really going to help much, but I suppose it's a good summary for our loyal members.

This issue is still not resolved. No, not even unresolved, it's still prevalent. I need to kick up the enforcement a couple of notches.
Hear this, if any of you see a post you think contravenes the English Clause, send me a private message and a link to the post.
This is the English Clause reporting system.

I don't think we should do that. What if someone just accidentally makes a mistake. Members should only be warned if they do it on a regular basis.

But still. I see you make grammatical errors, but you shouldn't be warned for that, because you don't do it all the time.ProTagOnist wrote:That still doesn't mean they can't proof read their work

Well that's the beauty of Zezima being a genius. He can easily tell, and multiple reported PMs can help even further to find the repeat offenders.sykog77 wrote:I don't think we should do that. I'm reporting someone named 'Zezima' for his misspelling of the word 'please' on the topic 'The Sonic Community - Promotional YouTube Video Series'.

Re: English
I used to have a couple of posts which violated the English Clause, but after due warning, I have reformed my ways, due to the fact I am now informed.
However, many people are from forums that do not have a similar type of system, so, I would put forward the idea of increasing the number of warnings received to three, before action is taken. This is so that people who come onto the Sonic Community Forum have time to adjust to the English Clause.

We won't count brand new members' violations as warnings, I don't believe.Aediliel Mithraisyr wrote:I used to have a couple of posts which violated the English Clause, but after due warning, I have reformed my ways, due to the fact I am now informed.

Re: English
I do believe that I myself have the proper ability to speak, write, and type English adequately. However, I do make a couple of small mishaps every so often, and of course, I cannot spell certain words. I am a fan-fiction writer and I believe that all of my writting should be as proper and accurate as possible.

Re: English
I would like to announce the introduction of a usergroup who will ensure that people are following the English Clause. We refer to ourselves as the Grammar Police. We are generally kind people, who work to correct mistakes people have made in grammar and spelling. However, we are also firm with consistent offenders.
