Basically, the Conservative Party here in the UK has proposed a tax break for married couples. I like the Conservative Party, and I agree with some of their policies, but I think, with this policy, they are discriminating against bachelors and/or widowers, and are basically encouraging people to marry. I think that marraige is an individual choice, and that the Conservatives (when they become government) should not be pressuring people into marraiges; because offering tax breaks for married couples is equivalent to planning an arranged marraige, and whilst it might be tolerable for religions to practice this (due to tradition), I think that the government should be more flexible and more tolerable of choice. Still, that's my opinion on this matter.
