I was looking at the new DLC for Sonic and Sega and according to SEGA one character and one track is $7.99 seriously

WHAT THE HELL!?! 8 bucks for two things that should have been in the game to begin with?!! Ya Lousy Cheapskates!!

Nevermind the $5.00 for the Forklift for Ryu it wasn't that expensive to preorder it it was like what 2 bucks? but seriously what the hell?!?!

Isn't Activision charging almost 20$ for a map pack? Publisher's greed never surprises me anymore.

DLC is a great thing to have come from Online gaming, especially considering updates, patches, and even free DLC at times. However, one problem with DLC comes when companies get too dependent on it, and releasing the game much earlier than they should just because they can patch it after the purchase. Another problem is overpricing for DLC that most obviously didn't take nearly enough effort/doesn't provide enough extra fun to be worth it. The thing I find the worst though, is when a company makes the game with "DLC" already on the disc, just locked away, and the only way to access it is to buy a key marketed as "DLC" which makes the content usable. Absolutely despicable, and I try my hardest not to support any company who believes that is okay to do.

You sit there bashing SEGA yet like someone else said, Acitivison charges like twenty bucks for a few maps.

Back in the DC days, DLC was free.

Supa has a point. There are much worse offenders at there when it comes to overpricing DLC.

Also, it took four moderators(including myself) 12 days before this was moved from the Sony section. That was fast.
