According to Nintendo of America's Reggie Fils-Aime, nearly one million users have "participated" in Netflix's streaming movie service since it launched on the Wii in March. In comparison to the Wii's current install base of 26 million systems, Netflix activity is fairly low on the console; however, it does suggest a strong boost in total Netfix user activity, which represents roughly 14 million U.S. subscribers.
The service, which was originally introduced on game consoles with integrated Xbox 360 support last year, has since expanded to all three major gaming platforms in addition to a wide range of other home entertainment products, including HDTVs, Blu-ray players, and more.
