sorry an Xbot got on my computer so really WHAT THE SHIZZLE!?!?! Mario has been since I was a kid everyone grew up with Mario I still have my Super nintendo these little kids only care about shooters. Remember we grew up in the real gaming age these kids don't know what real games are!

Wasn't Mario already dethroned by Wii Sports? Now this? Poor fella. While Halo's a nice game and all, nothing beats a classic platformer like Mario.

I guess I can understa- wait, 13,000? If that's all it took to get first there's no way in hell they asked a broad enough audience. Anyways, as a game, I can see the Halo franchise coming out due to how they did the poll, but if you were to ask between Mario and Master Chief character wise, it'd still be Mario at the top most likely.

I'm willing to give Halo props since it's one of the few shooters that doesn't embrace gritty, brown/grey realism like CoD and Battlefield. It finds a good middle ground between grumpy CoD seriousness and zany Duke Nukem baditude.

In all honesty though, the two shouldn't even be compared. They're completely different genres and Mario certainly doesn't have a heavy online presence like Halo.

Zelda's better than both of them.

Since that's a widely accepted fact there's no point to this thread. I guess I should just lock it.

IMO, Halo and Mario shouldn't be compared at all, like Erazor said. Mario is a platforming game series while Halo is one of many FPS that make up the shooting genre fad that needs to go away soon. Btw Erzaor, I'll do the locking for you.
