I wouldn't exactly say that it is better than Sonic 4 unless we have the chance to actually play the game, but it doesn't look bad for a slightly modified and graphically updated version of Sonic 2.

Because it's not Neo, people just use this as a scapegoat because everyone thinks Sonic 4 was bad because of idiotic issues or just that Sega didn't give them what they want. Really, The Model for Sonic looks SO MUCH worse and so does the Running animation. Oh wait, but it has Black eyes now so IT'S SO MUCH BETTER.
Sonic doesn't get speed fast enough and the physics look decent as well.

Is this a halloween special? Cause it's kinda scary...
It looks like sonic is running through Jurassic Park.
The graphics aren't all that, the running animations don't look good, and the background doesn't suit the foreground at all.
Freakishly scary looking sonic game is what you get when you completely base a game off fan opinion :P

I never said it was too dark to play.
The actual graphics are scary.... especially if this were the first level of the game. Usually, if not always, the first level in any sonic game is bright and cheerful.
Also, being bright 'enough to see the way' doesn't necessarily mean it's good enough.

In my opinion,
Sonic is a kids game... that level design looks like something that would fit to be a first level in a 2D version of Shadow the Hedgehog :faic:
Now, I wouldn't mind that, but I'm sure most of you would....

Even if you don't like the game in comparison to Sonic 4, the fact that it plays similar to the classics, has amazing graphics, gets very creative with level design and structure, and was made by two people, who did this all for free, is astounding.

The visuals do look rather unique (I kinda like the totem pole in the background), but I think the running animation does look a little off. Also, from what I gathered the level designs look particularly brutal (the guy fell right on top of a stationary Badnik).
It's not fair in the least to be comparing this to Sonic 4, considering different platforms, different coding systems (XNA) and different conditions under which they were made.

You can't say that two fans are better than SEGA because these two fans are using basically the exact same format (characters, design, stages, etc.) that was originally made by SEGA. Makes no sense.
