I was one of the better Yu-Gi-Oh players at my highschool, had a fun rivalry with a few students there. I was also one of the only ones to actually read the rule book, so most came to me for rule clarification and deciding who was in the right. Ah, man that was fun...
I should say hi to some of them some time, see if they still fear a batteryman deck. I bet those newer synchro themed decks would crush it though.

Most duels I got into just became a magic/trap card tug of war.
