Production costs $100 per unit, so I'm pretty sure it could go as low as $150 xP

Since handheld consoles are nowadays competing against smart phones and tablets...
Compare the old 250USD price to the entry level iPod touch (229USD); I'd go for the iPod... pay less for arguably more functionality. But with the new price, as a customer, I'd go for the 3DS ^^
Don't get me wrong, I don't think phones and tablets can compete with portable handhelds specifically made for gaming, it's just that most people out there today think they can :P

Yeah. I got one used and it doesn't even run half of the games I try. It gives me a "game can not be started" message. I looked on forums to try and fix the problem, but nothing worked.

They said their dropping the price to $169.99!!!!The people that paid full price are getting an apology by giving them, i think, 20 free games and i think some are Gameboy games. I already got one.

@silverthehedgehog well they're actually gba games that they are willing to give us along with the other 10 being nes games (hoping for punch out) but no one knows the full list of the other 5 games that are being given for both nes and gba (either that or I'm somehow losing my eyesight)
@chaos_overload does the psp still have the waranty??? if so then you can contact sony to see if they can fix the problem...either that or go to whoever it is you go to to fix broken handhelds,consoles,etc.

I got it about at the original price (actually $230) so when I fist saw this, I was pissed. But I say Nintendo certainly had me satisfied when I read about 20 free NES and GBA games. I really want to play Metroid Fusion, never had before.
