They are engine tests, so there are several missing graphics and other elements. CB fuses classic Sonic gameplay and visuals with a Sonic X-Treme style landscape and lens.
In the videos above, Sonic is seen speeding through Sky Sanctuary type stage, as well as Knuckles fighting in the boss engine.

Not bad, although Sonic looks very stiff and it was disappointing to see he couldn't beat the Egg Grabber.
