I think the debate team was a good idea and it really spotlighted the members that did a lot of thinking for us. I know it's been half-replaced by the top contributors, but I think that the Debate Team should still be brought back on top of the top contributors.

One of the staff must have edited it, but it's not showing up in my moderator log.
As for the debate team, if enough people want it, I'll bring it back, but until then there wasn't much practical use for it and the criteria for getting in the group was too subjective and, dare I say, debatable.

One of the reasons I liked the debate team because they were kind of like ready-to-launch lawyers. If there was an argument happening on the thread, the debate team could be able to argue both sides and come up with a peaceful settlement. Plus, they were just...cool.
