So would Kira have to write his name twice?

He might have had to write two different names, actually; the other heart was from someone else. Might've caused a problem, seeing as the donor's probably already dead by some technicality if not the Death Note's method, and there might not be a way to find out who it was, barring perhaps Shinigami eyes, which still might have not picked the name up; they seem to get names from the brain, which would explain why they float over people's heads and not on their bosoms.

Or the second heart adopts the owner of the brain's name by a technicality.
