Don't worry about it. But yeah, I'm not into MGS yet, how good of an idea is this game?

If the rumors are true about bringing Solid Snake back, then it sound pretty hit or miss, really. The only real way I could think of this working is if it takes place before MGS4.The Freedom Fighter wrote:Don't worry about it. But yeah, I'm not into MGS yet, how good of an idea is this game?

Never really got interested in Metal Gear, but I have no reason not to. Can somebody here convince my why I should?
Tried playing 4 and it was a bit of a disappointment for the title of greatest PS3 game.

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 announced
You should definitely play the first three games before playing 4. Although I've never played 4 myself, it's common knowledge that 4 was made to be a final tribute to the series and is supposed to be an emotional nostalgia fest for people who've played the first three.Zez wrote:Never really got interested in Metal Gear, but I have no reason not to. I recommend getting the essential collection for the PS2 and then trying 4.

Ah, okay, that makes much more sense. Thank you. I'll try to see how many pennies I can scrounge up around here to get it.

If you don't care about spoilers, you can also check out DSP's playthrough of 2 and 3 to see if you like the gameplay. But, as I said, only if you don't care about spoilers.Zez wrote:Ah, okay, that makes much more sense. Thank you. I'll try to see how many pennies I can scrounge up around here to get it.

I can't be bothered to care about spoilers in a tale I have no investment in, so no, I don't.

I do warn you though, these games are mostly cutscenes, so spoiling them could equate to spoiling the game, but at the same time, I had the story spoiled and still enjoyed the series, so who knows.

MGS 4 has really good graphics.
I just don't understand the game mechanics of this game at all. It does not utilize the fourth wall very well.

I got Snake Eater on 3DS. Still haven't beaten it yet, but it's a good game.

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 announced
Cool but because of Snake's condition will he be the main lead?
Also, incase you didn't know MGS4 is getting trophy support.

It didn't have it already? I thought all PS3 games did.
