If the rumors are true about bringing Solid Snake back, then it sound pretty hit or miss, really. The only real way I could think of this working is if it takes place before MGS4.

Never really got interested in Metal Gear, but I have no reason not to. Can somebody here convince my why I should?

Tried playing 4 and it was a bit of a disappointment for the title of greatest PS3 game.

You should definitely play the first three games before playing 4. Although I've never played 4 myself, it's common knowledge that 4 was made to be a final tribute to the series and is supposed to be an emotional nostalgia fest for people who've played the first three.

I recommend getting the essential collection for the PS2 and then trying 4.

If you don't care about spoilers, you can also check out DSP's playthrough of 2 and 3 to see if you like the gameplay. But, as I said, only if you don't care about spoilers.

I do warn you though, these games are mostly cutscenes, so spoiling them could equate to spoiling the game, but at the same time, I had the story spoiled and still enjoyed the series, so who knows.

MGS 4 has really good graphics.

I just don't understand the game mechanics of this game at all. It does not utilize the fourth wall very well.

MGS4 is for PS3, though, its like 10 bucks from Game Stop

I got Snake Eater on 3DS. Still haven't beaten it yet, but it's a good game.
