They were the big thing until the iPhone came out and Apple fanboyism consumed the market. And they're still great, along with many other phones, but the only thing you generally hear is iPhone this and iPhone that, even though the iPhone always was a pile of shit and is rapidly becoming more so with each new iteration. And it's just gonna go further downhill faster, without Jobs to assure some semblance of quality in the company's product. Even though his shareholders stopped him from doing things right when he was alive, he did still have some sway because they feared getting rid of him or completely disregarding him after they did it once and started to flop. But now that he's dead, they've got nothing to lose.
