The Dark Knight Rises - is it any good?

I've seen Batman Begins and Batman: The Dark Knight, and I'm going to see TDKR this weekend.

I've heard some people say it's the best one yet, but my friend on Skype says it's OK. Apparently, Batman only gets 30-40% screentime because half of the time he had been captured.

It. is. awesome!!! The best one in the series! A must watch! It does get a bit sad at times but hey, who cares?! Watch it man, you'll love it!

Didn't really like the first two, so I elected to skip it. Don't get me wrong, I definitely didn't hate the first two, they were just a little too dark (no pun intended) for my liking. I'll prolly watch it when it comes out on video.

I've seen it three times. It has its flaws but it was good.

Pros:
-Bane was awesome
-The whole terrorists taking over the city plot was interesting
-Fight scenes with Batman and Bane were well done

Cons:
-Felt a bit dragged out during the second half
-Batman/Bruce really wasn't that interesting of a character as in the other two
-

The Dark Knight still shines above all else, with no doubt.

It's worth seeing but it doesn't stand up to Dark Knight.

An exaggeration, he has lots of screen-time, although yes, he does stayed captured for some of it. But that's part of what makes it good, so yeah.

The general opinion is "not as good as TDK" which I quite disagree with. It's better than all the others.

I didn't like it, thought it was bad.

Then again, my exception were high.

Why would you see it 3 times already?

Maybe he went to go see it again with Friends/Family?

OK, I saw it last night. My thoughts?

THIS FILM IS SO FUCKING COOL.

Bane was awesome, the atmosphere was awesome, the backstories and secrets behind the plot was awesome, the plot twists were awesome, the level design was awesome, the physics were awe - wait.

Yeah, definitely the best of them.

Yeah, I thought so too. I don't think anyone is gonna top Dark Knight....at least for awhile. I feel like they should have done more with Bane's and Catwoman's costumes....

I liked it better than Batman Begins, but not The Dark Knight.

At the premiere in somewhere called Aurora in the US, yeah, 12 people were shot by an accused psychopath (James Holmes).

Tragic as that is, it doesn't affect the quality of the film, so I don't know why that would be relevant to how good the film is.

However, we should not discuss that here.

So returning to topic, I don't really see how people find Dark Knight Rises so much less than the prequel. I can see why they'd like it better, but some really don't like Rises at all.
