Well, grinding would have been an idea, but since you can grind with anything now, that's out. I guess they could affect his speed and acceleration somehow.

Maybe they could have an option like in Black Knight were you can change items that would affect how you play in certain areas, and soap shoes would increase grinding speed or something.

I personally wouldn't like to see that happen, they were alright as a one off in SA2, but I wouldn't like to see them again.
