Sonic Games You Hate/Dislike

Post Sonic games that you hate or dislike. You don't have to say why but you can if you want. Just one rule. You cannot argue with another person's post. If you're posting in this thread, you should be posting games you hate, not why it's wrong for someone else to hate a game you like.

Okay. Here's mine.

Sonic Adventure 2:
Let's see. I hate the story. You're given the option to be good or bad but it all ultimately ends up good. Treasure hunting gameplay was crap. In Sonic Adventure, it gave you opportunities to explore stages you've already played through as Sonic in new and exciting ways. The stage design made specifically for treasure hunting was confusing and flat out bad. Lastly, the music. Specifically the music with lyrics. I don't mean the game's theme songs made for all of the characters. I mean the City Escape and every Knuckles stage. I don't mind hip-hop type music, I just hate the lyrics. They're terrible.

Sonic '06:
I really wouldn't mind this game if it hadn't destroyed Sonic's reputation.

Sonic and the Black Knight:
There's alot I don't like. I'd rather not waste my time writing it all.

Anything after the original Sonic The Hedgehog 3 (which is pretty much all the games) in 1993. Especially Heroes.

I've only played the Wii version and that's enough for me, I hated every second of it.

The only Sonic game that I have played and disliked was Sonic Labyrinth. Though the concept for the game was interesting, the way that it was developed was not well done.

(Even so it's simply depressing they made the wii version like that.)

But I do dislike some games. Sonic Labyrinth being at the top.

I "thought" I hated a Sonic game once. Then I remembered my species reproduces with a series of spores. : ):

Secret Rings, Black Knight, and 2006.
I try to keep an open mind when it comes to game design (paying attention to various design decisions and how they affect my gaming experience), but those games have tested my patience.

Yeah the Wii version wasn't that fun. Perhaps you would like the XBox 360 version better.

I like Black Knight. It was quite fun. Though now I don't feel the need to go back and play it. I don't really need to now anyway seeings as I have passed every single mission.

I really hate SONIC ADVENTURE!!!

- Exploration and 3d environments you're forced to move through. Breaks the pacing and causes repetitiveness.
- Bad level design especially those that involve wind.
- Control and player physics feels more linear than anything, like table hockey.
- Dumb attempt at a deep plot.
- The Chao Garden. 'nuff said.
- And all of this 'adventure' stuff set the benchmark on "what a Sonic game should be". If it's new and it's not "Adventure", then it "sucks", and any attempt at "going back to the roots" means "sucks" because apparently Adventure is the "roots"...

I didn't like a thing about it except the music.

Sonic Adventure 2
Why the HELL is this game so favorited? The story was kinda good, but the gameplay was horrible. Sonic and Shadow loved going fast, but the controlling was horrible; they'd constantly go off the path. Eggman and Tails' levels were annoying because you couldn't figure out where the hell you were going because the camera would be so close the to character. Knuckles and Rouge's levels just sucked in general; bad controls, bad Emerald detector, bad level design. Music wasn't great either.

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity
I don't hate this game, but it lacked a fun factor, especially with the lack of a speed boost.

Sonic Advance 3
Sonic Advance was like the original 2D games, and Sonic Advance 2 was similar, but with a great sense of speed. Sonic Advance 3 lacked all of that. The AI character was stupider than a rock, it lacked speed, you often HAD to use those stupid tag movies, and the bosses were annoying.
