That is ridiculous. I'm fine with teachers trying to relate to the students, but when they bully a few students to gain the respect of more, they have dashed far beyond that fine line. Hope the district throws him out onto the street.

Unfortunately, due to international restrictions, I cannot see the story myself, but seeing what was mentioned within the adress to the video, I highly doubt that I need to see any other information.
A student should not have such an item written on their returned work, whether or not it had a failing grade. Perhaps the student had difficulties with the assignment, or another pressing issue entered his life at that moment. The teacher should have asked why the mark was so low, or should have simply returned the paper with the mark and no comment.

Then that makes the situation far worse than what I assumed. A teacher has no right to lower the mark on a student's work simply because of their opinion on them. That is wrong, and very unprofessional.

That.. Doesn't even make proper sense. Exactly how can a teacher give a grade of -20% to an assignment. Knowing more or less, if the Principal found out about this incident, (Which he most likely did) the mark probably will not count. Still, as I have said on two other occasions, what the teacher did was extremely unprofessional, and just wrong.
