I supported this... just imagine the internet without censorship... just amazing... especially for me because I go to 4 chan but still... it would be just amazing for others... This would be amazing for the Australian, as The Australian Government is trying to blanket filter them which is exactly what China does to its people. Its unnecessary and completely unfair that we have to deal with this...Instead of looking like America everyday they are starting to look like China everyday.

Depends on what you mean by internet censorship. If you mean disallowing websites in countries like China and such, it should at least be be loosened, but at the same time, sites with child pornography and other illegal sites should be removed if possible, and overly violent and sexual content shouldn't be easily found if it isn't searched for or is blocked, because 10 year old children do not need to see this type of stuff at their age.

I completely agree with this point. Sadly, people like Blast have made it possible for me and kids like myself to see some disturbing things. Thankfully, I have not really seen anything yet and I hope I never will. I've also read different fan fictions, and some are truly disturbing. In my opinion, all pornography should be erased from the Internet, because in truth, there are seven-year-olds roaming You Tube, such as my friend, and I worry every day that one of these times in the search, she's going to come across some nasty words and videos. It wouldn't be fair for curse words to not be allowed on the Internet, but sexual material and disturbing pictures should be removed and banned. Sadly, I have a friend on here who wrote a story, which he posted on another website, that had very inappropriate and graphic sexual material, and I think that should be put to an end. If I'm not mistaken, he took the story down, but people, including myself, read it so that makes it wrong nonetheless. In this case, I don't think that all cursing should be removed but at least descriptions, pictures, and chat should be taken off. Also, some websites really need to chomp down on its members. For example, Facebook needs to cut down on the sex chat, and possibly get rid of very bad cursing altogether. I have friends that use Facebook, and while they already know all the curses, it's still very wrong for them to be exposed to this daily.

Not meaning to be blunt, but you don't exactly need the internet for that. Also, you don't exactly have to be searching for trouble to receive trouble. Thank god pop-up blockers and anti-virus programs are better than they used to be...

Censoring of words such as democracy: bad. I think we can all agree on that.

Censoring of an extremely common word such as "the" or "of": ridiculous. Simply ridiculous.

Censoring reputably negative words: No Cussing Club inanity. Not necessarily bad, but tolerably annoying.

Censoring of porn: I'd imagine porn prevents many a perv from commiting rape, (Though this is entirely without base.) so let's not. Just get rid of it if it contains actual rape or children.

Censoring of child porn: while some children are intelligent, most are mindless and can't evaluate the consequences of sex, and worse, filming sex, at all. Just say no child porn and be done with it.

There. I think that covers everything.
