I hope there's at least a stage that makes use of the game's flying mechanics. That alone would make up for no hubs.

I will miss jumping around on the Super Galaxy's Star Base or whatnot, but I do rather enjoy myself with the linear mapping. Hopefully they have more worlds this way/ add some extra bonuses and more minigames than in Super Mario Bros Wii.

I think that would actually make up for everything. The hub was the only place you could fly, besides the stage where you got it.

I think he was referring to the Mario 64 sequels, of which, no matter how great it was, Paper Mario 2 doesn't qualify to be under.

No, in the 2D games you go from level to level and each level is different. Whereas in the 3D games you play different missions in the same levels. I know it's 3D an all. But what I'm wondering is if it will have the same kind of map setup?

I unno. I like the 3D setup better, But I'm probably gonna get the original instead of this one. It was really stupid not to have a hub.
